Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get my test strips to you?
If you live in the Raleigh/Durham area we can arrange to pick them up from you personally. That way we can inspect them right then and there and if they meet our requirements we will pay you cash on the spot! If you don’t live in Florida, we’ll be happy to give you a quote and provide you with mailing instructions and prepaid postage.
Is this legal?
Yes, 100% legal. As long as the strips are rightfully owned by you, you have the right to sell them. They are an over the counter product so whether you bought them yourself or they were supplied to you through your insurance company you are free to do whatever you want with them. But please be sure to only sell extra ones you have. Always make sure you have enough to do the amount of testing that is prescribed by your doctor.
What does Queen City Diabetic Supply do with the test strips?
We get these test strips into the hands of people who need them. Whether they are uninsured, under-insured, or they can’t otherwise afford the retail cost of test strips.
Does Cash for Queen City Diabetic Supply guarantee the quoted value of my test strips?
We do inspect every box, and values may be adjusted if we receive your test strips in poor condition. We only accept factory sealed boxes of test strips in good condition. We cannot accept boxes of strips that are less than 10 months from expiring. The prices we quote will be reduced by 25% to 75% if the boxes of strips are damaged, written on, show severe signs of wear, have areas torn off due to tape, etc. when we receive them. Please keep this in mind. We do not purchase Lancets or Test Meters. We cannot accept any strips that are provided to you through Medicaid or Medicare.
How can I tell if my test strips are expired or my seals are broken?
Most test strips have an expiration date stamped by the manufacturer and are factory sealed. Expired and broken seal boxed test strips are not acceptable and will be discarded.
How do I know what kind of test strips I have?
Almost all the test strips have a name and a manufacturer name and item number. If the item number is not visible on the front it can usually be found on the bottom or on the side of the test strips.
When and How do I get paid?
We will pay you as soon as we get the test strips and inspect them to be sure they are in acceptable condition. If we pick them up in person we will pay you in cash immediately. If you mail them to us we can send you a check or money order. If you have a PayPal account we can pay you through PayPal.
What Kind of Test Strips do you accept?
We accept most types of test strips including
- Accu-Che
- Onetouch
- Bayer
- Freestyle Lite
- and others, please call and ask!
Please contact us for a quote to see if we are accepting the type of test strips you may have.
Who pays for shipping?
We do! If you mail 1-12 test strip boxes we will add up to $9 to cover shipping costs, and 13-25 boxes we will add up to $18 to cover shipping costs. If you are mailing your test strips to us please be sure to pack them securely in a sturdy box so they don’t get damaged in transit. The Post Office will give you Priority Mail boxes for free. In most cases it’s cheaper to use the regular Priority Mail boxes, not the flat rate ones since the test strip boxes are so light. Of course, you can always use any box you may have. Just make sure it is sturdy and will protect the test strip boxes. If the total weight is under 13 ounces you can ship them 1st Class Mail which would be the cheapest option. Please contact us so that we can send you a shipping label.
Do you want my Test Meters and Lancets?
No thank you. I’m sorry but we no longer purchase Test Meters or Lancets. (We will accept donations)
Can I get my test strips back after I send it to DiabeticTestStripsOnline.com?
If you mail us expired, crushed, or open boxes and would like for us to return them to you there is a $20 processing and shipping fee.
REFERRALS!!! Don’t have any test strips but know someone who does? We will pay you $2 to $5 PER BOX for referring someone to us that we end up buying test strips from. Just make sure they mention you when they text, call or email us so you can get paid.
